Key accountmanager – global wholesale telecoms IP carrier
Are you an experienced telecoms wholesale sales account manager or business development manager within the global IP, data, and carrier sector?
Would you like to work for an innovative global telco brand?
Do you have knowledge of telecoms wholesale IP and data products and services including layer 2 Ethernet, optical wavelength, DWDM, IP Transit etc?
If so, this is an opportunity to join a tier 1 global carrier who are market leaders, owning and operating one of the largest IP backbone networks in the world.
The details of the role are:
Job title: Account Manager / Key accountmanager – Wholesale IP & Data
Location: Amsterdam, Holland / Netherlands – hybrid or remote
Role type: Permanent, full time

As a key member of the global wholesale sales team, you will take ownership of growing revenue through developing existing accounts and by identifying new business opportunities within national and regional sales territories.
Target customers will include other telcos, carriers, operators, ISPs, content owners, web hosting providers and some large multinational enterprise accounts.
You will be responsible for:
# Promoting the sale of wholesale products and services from the company’s portfolio of IP transit, wavelength, layer 2 ethernet, multi-cloud connect, DWDM etc
# Building a pipeline, forecasting deals and generating revenue
# Accurately and consistently reporting of sales and marketing activities of wholesale services
# Achieving objectives and goals for pipeline, closed deals, and revenue generation in the wholesale vertical
# Actively drive the customer journey by defining the solution, quoting accurately and competitively, carrying out contract negotiations, delivering project management, service support, and lifecycle management on of customers
# Identifying and penetrating prospective wholesale customers headquartered in the EMEA
# Maintaining comprehensive knowledge of industry and customers to identify and propose unique solutions
# Cultivating existing customer relationships and developing opportunities to grow volumes and revenues.
# Having a deep understanding of customers’ business, goals, strategies, trends, and needs.
The ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience selling telco wholesale IP, data, ethernet, optical, and wavelenght services to other telecoms operators, carriers, service providers, ISPs and similar organisations. Candidates should have deep knowledge of the market and the relevant network technologies and customers.
