Leads a team of carrier specialists who directly oversee multiple telecommunication carriers and all related third party vendor relationships and corresponding billing accounts. Works with internal IT stakeholders, corporate accounts payable, business unit clients, and multiple telecommunications vendors to address and resolve a variety of vendor account and billing related issues.

Job Responsibility

  • Leads a team of carrier specialists and oversees the daily activities.
  • Maintains records, reports on performance, and recommends corrective action or justifies variances; oversees the maintenance and integrity of conventional and computer-aided records and information; manages resources including operating budget, supplies, equipment, space, staff, and information; participates in the planning and utilization of space.
  • Recommends, implements, and evaluates the approved operating budget; manages vendor billing processes for multiple carries (new/existing).
  • Assesses third party vendors to determine RFP award for carrier billing.
  • Manages discount schedules for third party telecom billing vendors; also manages team which processes enterprise network services circuit order requests.
  • Analyzes and evaluates the accuracy of telecom billing accounts; audits and inventories carrier initiatives.
  • Performs monthly invoice analysis and validation and completes monthly cost center allocation updates; compares invoice services against contract rates and telecom circuit inventory.
  • Develops new methods for improving services and creating efficiencies; also develops expense management approvals for all new carrier service orders and upgrades.
  • Manages and creates carrier billing reports to present to executive management; produces and manages carrier reconciliation reports; responsible for contract negotiations with telecom vendors.
  • Serves as a primary partnership liaison and formal channel of communication between, billing and carrier vendors; provides continuous feedback, collaboration and follow-up with vendors to manage issues, inquires, organizational needs; ensures timely resolution for any issues.

Job Qualification

  • Bachelor’s Degree required, or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
  • 5-7 years of relevant experience and progressive experience where team leadership was demonstrated, required.
