As the Lead Products Security Engineer, Product Security Engineering, you will be responsible for the security architecture of our platforms and solutions being delivered to telecom market. You will build upon the industry-leading security features at the core of Dell’s hardware, BIOS/firmware, and software, layering in a full-stack security architecture for our partner ecosystem to adhere to. Together with Dell’s security office, you will also help drive a secure end-to-end development pipeline enabling our partners to engage with Dell engineering and development teams in a seamless development environment to provide the most secure products and solutions to the telecom market.

• Identify opportunities to shift processes left in the ecosystem so that Dell is considered the best and most secure route to market for our partners
• Engage with partners to understand the security aspects of their components (hardware and software) and how they integrate with Dell’s infrastructure and software to create secure yet easy-to-deploy solutions
• Engage with customers to drive security collaborations, understanding their security needs and current gaps to those needs; convert these needs into requirements across the end-to-end ecosystem and evangelize the methods and technologies needed to close the customers’ security gaps
• Technically coach, inspire, and challenge your fellow team members
• Be the security technical ambassador and representative for Telco Business Unit. Interact with industry experts, partners, auditors, and customers to drive security collaborations.
• Identify the industry trends, opportunities, and security gaps; help convert these needs and gaps into technical requirements for Telco portfolio products within DELL Technologies and ecosystem partners.

Essential Requirements

• Must be a U.S Citizen to access highly sensitive projects
• Minimum of 15 years working in an engineering design and development organization with significant experience designing security into the hardware and/or software architecture
• Experience in leading security, compliance, privacy, and risk management projects.
• Expertise in security subdomains, including Encryption, Data Protection, Compliance Validation, Vulnerability Management, and Incident Response, Network Security, Infrastructure Security, CICD Security, Identity and Access Management, Logging and Resiliency.
• Experience with threat modeling frameworks such as STRIDE and tools.
• Expertise in security subdomains, including Encryption, Data Protection, Compliance Validation, Vulnerability Management, and Incident Response, Network Security, Infrastructure Security, CICD Security, Identity and Access Management, Logging and Resiliency.
• Experience with VMware/Hyper-V, Kubernetes, and container-based environments
• Familiarity with industry security frameworks (ISO, SOX, SWIFT, OWASP, NIST Cyber Security, etc.).
• Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences and guide leadership on technology values and risks

• Critical thinking skills and the courage to challenge conventional approaches to solving problems in a fast-paced environment
• Technical vision and leadership. Curiosity about new security technologies and concepts
• Ability to work collaboratively across engineering and product management teams to drive shared mission of making Dell telecom products and solutions the best and most securechoice for our customers

• Deep hands-on experience designing and analyzing product security architecture of large-scale enterprise or telecom systems, taking into account all aspects of physical and logical security practices
• Telco specific test tools and knowledge in 3GPP, ORAN (Open Radio Access Network), 5G, Private 5G, MEC, Edge etc
• Expertise in translating Compliance and regulatory requirements to Product requirements, experience working with 3rd party accredited Labs or Govt agencies and Product Security certifications
• Experience with Open source and commercial security testing tools
• Knowledgeable throughout the various layers of large-scale systems, from hardware and physical layer protocols up through the application-layer; can advise product management, engineering, supply chain, partners, and customers on specific requirements needed throughout the stack to ensure a robust and secure product
• Bachelors or Masters degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, computer science, or related disciplines.
