About the opportunity
We are looking to hire a Locating Field Coordinator to oversee our North Battleford district. This is a full-time and permanent position.
LOCATING FIELD COORDINATOR
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate project activities to ensure projects are on schedule.
- Provide administrative and logistical support including progress tracking and documentation.
- Coordinate manpower and resources to meet project requirements.
- Prepare reports for management regarding the status of projects and ongoing work.
- Be the primary point-person for planning, executing, and delivering projects on time, within budget, and in accordance with project requirements.
- Supervise staff assigned to designated projects.
- Coordinate ongoing activities of project team as required to ensure safety, productivity, client satisfaction and project results all meet exceptional standards of quality.
- Conduct and participate in meeting regarding project status, deliverable and any issues that may arise.
- Coordinate multiple projects simultaneously in an efficient and cost-effective manner, ensuring all project objectives are met.
- Act as primary client contact as required.
- Travel throughout Saskatchewan on various projects as required.
- Be available for afterhours call out work as required.
- Will be responsible to become familiar with, abide by, and to administer the Shermco Health, Personnel and Safety policies.
- Will adhere to Shermco’s Alcohol and Drug Policy as defined; and
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Experienced in locating underground cables in the utility sector and have a working knowledge of telecommunications and utility infrastructure.
- Sound understanding and knowledge of applicable regulations and industry best practices in the areas of OH&S, Safety, Damage Prevention, First Call processes, and underground facilities locating requirements.
- Previous experience in a supervisory role is preferred.
- Valid Driver’s License & clean Drivers Abstract.
- Able to work outdoor in various weather conditions.
- Available to work overtime and weekends as needed.
