Low Voltage Cable Technician

Basic Scope of Work:

  • Pulling and routing CAT5 or CAT 6 cable in a new construction and/or building rennovation project. All opportunities are in commercial environments. No Residential Opportunities.
  • Terminating Cat 5/6 Low Voltage Cable
  • Dressing and terminating distribution frames / closets (66 or 110 blocks, patch panels)
  • Testing cable/troubleshooting networking issues
  • Installing associated low voltage cabling support structures (ladders, racks, j-hooks, etc…)

Skill Requirements:

  • At least 2 years of experience working as a low voltage cable technician, specifically installing voice and data systems in a commercial environments.
  • Ownership of basic telecom tools: Punch down, snips, wire strippers, cordless drill, Hard Hat, Boots, Safety Glasses, etc.
  • Familiarity with BICSI, EIA, TIA or NEC Standards.
  • OSHA 10 Certification is preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 – $22.00 per hour

Schedule:

  • 10 hour shift
  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday
