Low Voltage Cable Technician

East West Staffing, Inc. (EWS) is currently seeking an Structure Cable Technician to assist in building telecommunications networks.

Requirements of Low Voltage cable Technician

• High school diploma or GED; technical degree preferred.
• Telecommunications experience a plus
• Ability to work on ladders up to 15ft., demonstrated manual dexterity, and lift 40+ lbs
• Ability to use basic tools and test equipment including hand tools, power drills, multi-meters, watt-meters, and soldering equipment.
• Basic computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook is desired.
• Must be able to meet deadlines on time.
• Background checks are part of the hiring process which may also include a Motor Vehicle Check.

Responsibilities of Low Voltage cable Technician

• Preparation of decommissioned equipment for shipping back to warehouse
• Terminating cable data and power cable
• Removal of unused networking equipment to include switches, routers, and rectifiers etc.

• Installation of data and power cable Cat5/6, fiber, wiring, and telecommunications equipment in telecommunications facilities.
• Installation and removal of iron work, network bays/equipment, DC power, Punch down, pulling, and lacing cable blueprint/schematic reading and method of procedures.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $24.00 – $29.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 10 hour shift
• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
