Low Voltage Estimator

The role of the estimator is to prepare accurate, timely design and quotations for all assigned opportunities and will use the information gathered and developed to the coordinate with the Field Operations organization to ensure the successful installation of all awarded projects.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare design and quotation documentation for all assigned opportunities
• Function in a liaison capacity with the Sales organization to ensure that information required for the development of a comprehensive design and cost-effective quotation is received in a timely, accurate manner
• Participate in meetings as required
• Ensure that all departmental project submittals are delivered in a timely, accurate manner
• Participate in field site surveys and customer meetings on an as-needed, as-required basis:
• Ensure that competitive vendor quotes are utilized to secure best pricing for materials or sub-contractor costs
• Ensure that all designs and quotations meet the specified functional requirements; and are accurate and inclusive of all required materials, direct labor, subcontractor costs, other related project expenses and appropriate assumptions
• Ensure that all design and bid documentation is properly administered and maintained
• Complete all required departmental reports in a timely and accurate manner
• Strictly adhere to all company policies and procedures

Required

• Entry Level or related engineering / estimating design experience in telecommunications and security
• Preffered proficient in knowledge of BICSI, NEC and EIA / TIA industry standards
• Preffered proficient in use of industry standard and company specific management, design and engineering software applications and database
• Ability to comprehend project specifications and scope of work
• Must have own transportation and valid driver’s license
