Low Voltage Installer

Job Description

• Looking for technicians of all levels. Hourly rate will depend on skill level.
• Eligible candidates must be willing to work in the following counties. Osceola, Orange, and Lake.
• Able to assist in installing (Copper or Fiber ) cables in any environment including Aerial or Underground pathways. Also to include installing cables from telecommunications equipment racks to user end locations above ceiling, in walls or below floor utilizing assorted pathways such as cable trays, troughs, harnesses, j-hooks etc. Terminate cables with the correct color code using various types of connectors. Properly install MPLS, Faceplates, insertion of jacks in the right numbering order and proper cable labeling.

• To ensure compliance of all Safety Standards and Codes

Job Requirements

• Experienced/ Common Sense knowledge in the use of hand and power tools.
• Ability to follow direction from various sources
• High School Graduate or Equivalent – Additional Trade School preferred
• Preferred: Experience in a construction environment, practicing construction site safety
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly, and up to 75 lbs occasionally
• Ability to differentiate color for color coded wiring
• Manual dexterity, small tool work
• Ability to work in various environments – Office, Retail and Construction
• Flexibility to work 7am to 3pm or 3pm to 11pm shifts. Some projects require after hours work.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both through written and verbal methods
• Ability to climb ladders, reach overhead, kneel down for long periods of time
• Reliable Transportation if a company vehicle is not available.
• Candidate must pass a drug test, JLA and State of Florida back ground checks.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $14.00 – $30.00 per hour
