Job description

Colwin Connect is seeking enthusiastic, organized and hardworking junior helpers to join our team as a low voltage / structured cabling technicians. We offer a competitive salary, Extended Health benefits, company phone, computer and service vehicle. We work on a variety of projects such as fully finished commercial and residential spaces as well as new and renovation type construction projects.

Requirements:

· High School diploma

· Post-secondary training in Electronics, Electrical or Equivalent.

· Minimum 2 years trade experience.

· Mature and Responsible attitude – reliability and punctuality is key!

· Manufacturer type certification is preferred.

· Low Energy (LO) FSR is preferred

· Excellent knowledge of basic computer skills.

· Software programming and network configurations is an asset.

· Full knowledge of color codes and industry standards.

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills geared towards customer service and site coordination.

· Ability to complete paperwork and service records on time and accurately.

· Adhere to company safety program and WCB requirements.

· Working Locations such as finished buildings to new or renovation construction sites.

· Possible after hours, weekend and out of town work.

· Clean and valid driver’s license with no restrictions and no criminal record.

· Ability to work independently or as a team member.

Duties:

· Installation of cabling and devices for Data Networks, Fiber Optics, Access Control, Intrusion Systems, Audio Visual, CCTV and various control type systems.

· Pre-wiring, installation, termination, testing and labeling.

· Logging daily activities, work hours and following installation drawings.

– Structured Cabling, Security Installer, Alarm, Cameras, Telecommunications

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $18.00-$32.00 per hour
