A-com Technology is a mid-sized low voltage electrical company established in 2013 Albuquerque New Mexico specializing in fire alarm and telecommunications as well as audio visual and security systems. We have a strong statewide client base and we are known by owners, architects, and engineers as a contractor that can be trusted to deliver quality on time and on budget.

We are in a high growth stage! We have immediate openings based out of our Albuquerque, NM office. We are looking for a for a Low Voltage Technician for our service department. We excel in fast-track schedules, technically-challenging projects, complex designs, occupied spaces, restrictive sites, and tough budgets!

Service Technician

This individual is a bright, motivated technician who will work on various voice/data, video surveillance, access control, fire detection and audio/visual systems. As a member of a team of installers and technicians, you will provide onsite physical troubleshooting and repair of systems. This individual should possess leadership skills and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Uphold the core values and mission of A-com Technologies
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems and equipment
  • Troubleshoot and repair network cable, video surveillance, access control and wireless projects in various environments
  • Pulling and routing cable in commercial environment
  • Terminating jacks and dressing and terminating distribution frames
  • Lead and mentor other technicians
  • Inspect quality of work, makes repairs and instructs others as needed
  • Familiarity with BICSI, EIA, TIA and NEC standards
  • Understand and apply the codes and standards per job requirements
  • Perform testing and certification of installed components
  • Accurately report site conditions
  • Provide quality deliverable to manager per customer requirements
  • Identify safety risks and take appropriate action
  • Work with onsite customer in a professional manner
  • Demonstrate oral and written communication skills
  • Completes daily logs, RFIs, and manage material is a timely and efficient manner
  • Must adhere to all health, safety, and company policies
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30.00 – $38.00 per hour
