Low Voltage Technician

Job Title: Low-Voltage Technician, full-time, W2 position

Job Summary:
Kambrian Corporation is an IT and Telecom solutions company providing IT and low-voltage solutions to public sector and private sector customers. We are looking for an experienced, dependable low-voltage field technician to work on both service tickets and projects in Southern California. Scopes include low- voltage cabling for security systems, AV, and telecom. We have a great internal operations team to work with our technicians. We offer paid time off, health insurance, and 401K.

We send our technicians to different locations in Southern CA.

Responsibilities:
Service calls:

• Responds to customer service calls timely including emergency calls by working with Kambrian internal dispatchers and customers

• Identifies and resolves problems for customers; exercises judgment in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results

• Run, strap, punch down, terminate, label, and test cable
• Consistently communicate and update Kambrian internal team and customers in a timely manner & provide status updates in real time
• Perform jobs in a safe manner
• Complete and close out field service tickets with deliverables and documents timely.
• Work independently and manage time effectively by resolving delays and handling customer situations well

Projects:

• Join job walk to survey job sites and requirements as needed
• Work with Kambrian sales team and estimators in drafting estimates as needed based on job walk.
• Read blueprints map and manuals
• Adheres to project budgets for time & materials
• Have a willingness to learn & provide timely written reports to Kambrian operations team each day.
• Flag issues and escalate issues timely while onsite

Qualifications:

• High school diploma
• Have a clean driving record
• Low-voltage experience: 3 years minimum required in low-voltage
• Have in-depth working knowledge & familiarity with “tools of the trade”.
• Knowledge of CAT-5, CAT-6, RG6, RG59, fiber optics and other cables.
• Ability to read floor plans and technical specs for low-voltage
• Flexibility in shift hours with occasional weekend work if needed for emergency service calls
• BICSI certification or other industry certifications a plus
• Can pass security background check and drug screening

Pay: $22.00 – $45.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
• On call
• Weekend availability

Ability to commute/relocate:

• West Covina, CA 91792: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Willingness to travel:

• 25% (Preferred)
