Low Voltage Technician

Advanced Connections is a low voltage sub-contractor operating in the eastern shore of Maryland. Our company is responsible for small and large scale residential and commercial installations ranging from Fiber Optic and CATV ISP installs to full cable, internet (broadband) and phone. We install all low voltage products and smart home devices.

Job Responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Install Fiber optic equipment and configure Wi-Fi networks
• Install and /or repair cable TV, High-Speed Data or Digital Services inside and outside of residential homes.
• Install various customer premise equipment such as converters, cable modems, digital terminals and other cable system devices
• Planning installation by evaluating the job, running the necessary wires, Installing or connecting cable TV outlets and connecting the services ordered by customer
• Communicating and educating customers on the use and function of their services
• Providing support for troubleshooting internet devices
• Bury Underground fiber optic cable for residential and commercial ISP subscribers
• Install, terminate, and test telecommunications wiring including going through crawlspace, attic, etc.

We are seeking highly motivated candidates who are interested in pursuing a career in the Residential and Commercial Internet Service Industry.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 1 – 2 years Cable TV or Satellite experience preferred but not necessary.
• The right candidate will need to be self motivated and have strong work ethic
• Mechanically inclined to be able to work with hand/power tools and have the ability to troubleshoot and problem solve
• Must have the ability to lift 80 pounds as well as carry and climb a 28 ‘ extension ladder.
• Candidate must be able to work in small and High areas and in all weather conditions
• Candidate should understand the general construction of a house
• Candidates must have valid drivers license, with clean record, and be able to pass background check.
• A knowledge of operations and installation of WiFi devices such as printers, cameras, and other smart home devices
• Be able to articulate knowledge of products and services to customers
