Your primary tasks will include: *

  • Lead and support our clients through IT strategy design, enterprise systems and digital platforms technology reviews and rationalisation assignments, arising from acquisitions, divestitures, carve-outs, and other transactions
  • Act as Technology subject matter expert for IT Strategy review and design assignments, across ERP, CRM, RPA, AI, BPM, HRMS, EDMS, BI and Mobile Solutions
  • Strong understanding of Digital transformation – across strategy and business case, planning, execution, and scaling; ability and passion to present digital concepts to senior business stakeholders
  • Awareness of best-in-class tech/IT strategies, both cutting edge and pragmatic Tech/Software products, services, platforms, and their likely impact on business-critical aspects of performance
  • Experienced in providing strategic operational planning and execution advice regarding all aspects of technology. Good understanding of the key business operational drivers, related matters, and the implications thereof, including the ability to quickly understand large amounts of information and draw out conclusions
  • Prepare, plan and deliver MA technology engagements including pre-deal (e.g., IT due diligence, ERP spec select, carve-out planning), post-deal (e.g., integration planning, synergy tracking, post-merger integration) and value creation (e.g., rapid cost reduction)
  • Delivering and/or reviewing high quality transaction reports and other MA documentation including technology due diligence and Transitional Service Agreements
  • Own delivery of one or more chapters as part of a blended delivery project team across our technology practices for key corporate and PE clients, in a SME (subject matter expert) capacity
  • Act as a role model for and support the development of junior team members, coupled with training responsibilities
  • Work closely with our Europe-wide teams across a wide variety of industries
  • Delivery of pitches and presentations to senior clients, organize and participate in client meetings
  • Assist in developing and executing BearingPoint’s firmwide MA strategy

We are looking for top performing individuals with the following characteristics and background: *

  • *

4-5+ years* of relevant work experience, including at least 4 years in industry, and/or a tech company with a large and/or complex technology landscape, in a senior technical or senior business analyst role

  • Management consulting experience with a reputable firm highly desirable
  • Experience designing and/or implementing ERP systems processes, flows and modules
  • MBA, Master’s or bachelor’s degree with an outstanding academic record from leading universities
  • Prior Transactions experience will be an advantage but not required. This includes technology due diligence, carve-out or integrations (including Blueprint, TSAs, Day 1-100 Plan, SPAs, CIMs, Project Charters etc), understanding of the deal lifecycle and the role of technology within it
  • Programme management experience and successful track record of delivery of projects
  • Planning and/or execution experience of technology integrations and separations across technology, infrastructure, applications and data
  • On top of ERP Enterprise Systems and IT Strategy, broad technical knowledge, and hands-on experience in at least two of the following:
  • Enterprise Architecture
  • Applications Development (SDLC)
  • IT Service Delivery/Infrastructure/Telecom/Cloud
  • IT Governance, Costing, Operating Model and Organisation Structure
  • IT Systems/API Integration
  • IT/Digital Maturity Assessments
  • Machine Learning/Artificial Intelligence (AI)/Automation (RPA)
  • Cyber Security
  • Data Modelling
  • Recent experience of working within or advising in one of the following industry sectors – Support services, Consumer Products, Media, Retail, Healthcare, Technology, Telecoms, Finance or Central Government
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and a highly pressured environment which characterise transactions
  • Proven team player with strong team leadership skills, particularly teams with diverse skills and backgrounds, coupled with the ability to lead and develop juniors
  • Experience of delivering high-quality reports and presentations
  • Business sales development support experience, including material design and presentation
  • Strong client engagement skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills. Fluency in English (European languages will be an added advantage)
