POSITION SUMMARY: Plans, directs and controls the staffing and activities of the Technology Services section of IS. Works with the Vice President IS, IS Sr. Director, IS Desktop Support Manager and Application Analysts, to plan, develop, and control the implementation, development, maintenance and upgrade of the hospital information systems.
Provide oversight of core Network/Voice fundamentals and strategic planning/standards. Owns Architecture, Capacity, Availability, Problem and Service Continuity practices for the following disciplines: Data center facility, UPS/generator, cooling systems, access control, fire detection & prevention and space planning/forecasting. Also manage Information Lifecycle of storage environments to include but not limited to SAN, NAS, Fiber and Archive/Backup Systems, Tape and Media Management & Telecommunications.
Maximizes the efficiency and productivity of the hospital departments by fulfilling their information services needs. Insures that the systems function well within the hospital information services environment and that the goals of the hospital and department are met.
Provides proactive planning to insure that the Technology Infrastructure continues to meet the organizations needs into the future.
