Things Remembered
Primary Function
Responsible for managing, developing, coaching and leading a team of network engineers, administrators, and system analysts and providing quality customer service to Things Remembered associates that may include implementations, upgrading software, maintaining and administering all infrastructure, operating system, Datawarehouse and POS, and related equipment. The essential functions of this position include the following:
1. Provides customer service to Things Remembered associates involving installation, configuration of PC hardware, software and maintenance. Responsible for installation, configuration of network hardware and software (servers, switches, routers).
2. Responsible for troubleshooting and diagnosing Cisco, Microsoft, Linux, and telecommunications equipment.
3. Assist in budget management, assists in drafting financial plans throughout the year and participates in budget discussions/decisions with management.
4. Responsible for taking escalated trouble calls from the help desk and works them to resolution.
5. Monitors network and application performance and provide reports and recommendations to upper management.
6. Maintains all network documentation for the desktops, servers, and all network gear.
7. Responds to on-call periods (pager) based on department policies and procedures.
8. Manages the day-to-day activities of assigned staff, which includes hiring, training, assigning workload, tracking activities and projects, and reporting status.
9. Conducts Mid/End-of-year performance reviews for all subordinates.
10. Creates and implements policies and procedures for all network, server, and desktop support. Including security, store, and Datawarehouse systems.
11. Guarantees customer satisfaction by coordinating with other support group managers to ensure smooth workflow.
12. Coordinates equipment and software purchasing with Corporate.
13. Coordinates daily activities with help desk to ensure customer needs are met.
Position requirements include;
5+ years Network and Systems experience; Microsoft, Linux, and Cisco. Meraki MS SQL experience a plus;
5+ years Managerial experience; Flexibility to adapt to a fast-paced/quickly changing environment;
Proven project management, analytical and problem solving skills
Developed Communications skills both verbally and in writing; Developed interpersonal skills with ability to work with all levels of the organization and user community; Team player; Self-motivated;
Ability to work on multiple tasks without significant supervision.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $90,000.00 per year
