TekCom is looking for a Manager of Regulatory Affairs in Reynolds, GA. This is an in-office position and will provide relocation assistance for the right candidate.
The Manager of Regulatory Affairs interacts with external regulatory community and has a good knowledge base of US regulations, is familiar with development processes with a focus on telecommunications and a solid understanding of promotional activities. This role will work hand-in-hand with the Controller. Ideal candidate will have experience with accounting, legal compliance, management and leadership skills.
Description:
- Process easement documentation to include record to the appropriate agency, process payment to landowner, along with any follow-on encroachment or ad hoc agreements
- Manage licensing, filing and reporting requirements for federal and state agencies, including but not limited to: FCC Form 477 and Broadband Data Collection Fabric, Interstate and Intrastate tariff filings and amendments, trouble ticket reporting, performance measures test reporting
- Oversees the standard operational procedures necessary to facilitate and maintain regulatory compliance for all levels of the organization
- Provides direction and information to implement policies, develop company products and ensure company compliance with state and federal regulations
- Acts as liaison providing strategic regulatory guidance for impacted companies
- Support the ongoing management for the independent and competitive local exchange carriers (ILEC, CLEC)
- Track regulatory reporting calendar and organize supporting internal company documentation
- Participate as needed in document production and research related to data request responses
- Assist with consumer complaint research and responses and work with Customer Service Reps regarding customer service inquiries/issues
- Assist in managing various projects toward meeting regulatory and compliance requirements
- Support internal teams to adhere to regulatory and compliance requirements
- Properly market promotional activities for FCC programs and educate Customer Service Reps
- Maintain compliance with billing regulatory requirements
- Approve daily deposits
- Attends monthly regulatory meetings
Qualifications:
- B.S. Degree in related field is required (Accounting or Finance strongly preferred)
- Telecommunications regulatory experience, including familiarity with engineering plans and projects
- Experience with financial planning and reporting of capital projects, with ability to understand how rates impact financial statement
- Experience with budgeting, forecasting for grants and loans, pricing for bids
- Superior computer skills, particularly in Excel, with strong data mining and manipulation skills
- Strong analytical and computer software skills with the ability to effectively analyze large data sets
- Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and achieve results on a timely basis
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to show good judgment, consistency, timeliness and respect in decision-making
