Manager Proposal Development – Client Support – Telecommute

The Proposal Manager will lead the development and completion of all proposal requests from our health plan clients. This role works closely with sales, leadership, operations, and other partnering team members. This position will manage a team of 5 – 8 pharmacy proposal development analysts. This role includes all aspects of the proposal services development following industry best practices, concentrating on proposal process and ongoing staff development.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Develop and manage the proposal team: issue effective proposal instructions to proposal team staff
• Ensuring client deadlines are met
• Preparing status reports and briefings for management
• Define, document, implement, and support continual proposal process improvement
• Escalate risks associated with assigned projects and RFPs
• Additional responsibilities include:
• Participate in relevant training opportunities that will enhance both individual performance and overall unit performance

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
• 5+ years of experience writing RFPs; preferably in health care or pharmacy industry
• 2+ years experience managing a proposal development team
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Familiarity with RFPIO a plus.

Preferred Qualifcations:

• 2+ years experience proposal experience supporting health plan clients
• Experience using RFPIO
• Experience writing RFP’s in the health care or pharmacy industry
• Ability to understand complex RFP requirements specific to health plan client groups
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Flexible and able to cope with changing conditions

Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado residents is $82,100 to $146,900. The salary range for Connecticut / Nevada residents is $90,500 to $161,600.
