Job Purpose
Job Purpose
This role manages a team that installs, troubleshoots, repairs, and maintains telecommunications equipment and systems. This role also leads daily team activities and may spend a portion of time performing the work of those they manage.

Analyzes and resolves issues and needs as related to cost, design, and implementation of telecommunications networks/systems. Escalates in a timely manner to next level management when necessary to maintain agreed upon project/incident timelines. Coordinates information system priorities. Prepares reporting on incident and project resolution times and effectiveness.

Manages, coaches, and develops team of telecommunications professionals.

Develops and implements business plans, policies, and procedures. Collaborates with other departments to prioritize internal telecommunications needs including voice, data and/or video communication.

Ensures the timely delivery of project deliverables, installation/upgrades, maintenance, and repairs. Evaluates results within business unit to determine if organizational objectives are being met.

Assists in budget preparation process and helps ensure department stays within established budget.

Serves as liaisons with internal departments, vendors and other third-party providers..

Guides development and ensures compliance with telecommunication and engineering standards, policies, and guidelines. Stays knowledgeable of emerging trends and industry practices.

- Strong knowledge with the varying manufacturers hardware and software portfolios to include Cisco, Avaya and FortiNet.
- Experience working with computer and networking equipment;
- Ability to multi-task, problem-solve, communicate effectively and strong analytical skills.
- Advanced knowledge of the following: LAN, MAN, WAN, TCP/IP protocols, routers, switches, gateways, Structured cabling standards: ETSI, TIA, EIA, ITU, Telecommunication Cloud capabilities.
- Previous management experience.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Preferred
- Hold existing Voice certifications e.g. CCNA-Voice or other major manufacturers certifications.
