Applied Marketing Science, Inc. (AMS) is an established market research and consulting firm located in Waltham, MA. With roots in the MIT Sloan School of Business, AMS specializes in providing custom market research, consulting, and expert insight in two distinct areas: Consumer Experience Innovation and Litigation Support.
As our team continues to grow our Litigation Support practice is looking for an experienced Market Research Project Manager interested in learning how to use rigorous market research methods to develop survey evidence for civil litigation matters. Your training will begin with the basics of litigation and the Lanham Act. Then, working with leading academic experts and practitioners, you will learn survey design and execution for trademark and trade dress infringement, deceptive advertising, class actions and other types of cases across a wide range of industries including consumer goods, retail, telecommunications, technology and more. Once trained, you will lead a fantastic team in market research and consulting projects that support expert witness testimony on consumer behavior and marketing issues for complex litigation matters.
Your responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
· Collaborating with attorneys, clients, and academic experts to understand research objectives in complex litigation matters
· Working under the direction of a survey expert to design, quantitative consumer surveys tailored to those research objectives
· Conducting exploratory research, qualitative interviewing, pretesting, and synthesis of qualitative insights
· Managing data collection, vendors and protocols
· Performing quantitative data analysis
· Assisting the survey expert in preparing their report and testimony
· Ensuring the highest level of quality control throughout the project lifecycle
· Managing the project schedule and budget
· Providing training, guidance, support, and mentorship to junior staff
Qualifications:
· An interest and willingness to learn the different types of surveys used in litigation
· 3-5 years of experience in market research or related field
· Bachelors degree required, Masters degree preferred
· Excellent analytical and quantitative skills
· Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SPSS
· Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, including mastery of the English language
· Ability and desire to work in fast-paced environment that requires creative problem solving and meticulous attention to detail
· Legal authorization to work in the U.S. without the need for sponsorship at any time in the future
· Occasional travel may be required
· Local candidates preferred

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,000.00 – $100,000.00 per year
