About The Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join us as we embark on the next phase of our growth journey. We are looking for individuals with a strong Marketing & CRM background who have experience of successfully transforming customer and digital comms strategy for private sector organisations to help us continue our strong growth trajectory.

You will have a strong point of view on customer and digital trends and their impact on organisations. You will have experience of successfully shaping compelling proposals for clients, architecting and then leading delivery across the end to end project lifecycle from strategy to execution.

You will be able to demonstrate how you have helped your clients to deliver tangible results.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supporting our Go To Market activities for PwC’s Digital Marketing Managed Services
  • Actively involved in business development activities to help identify, propose and close customer transformation opportunities.
  • Supporting client bids/pitches through customer and comms strategy development and leading that strategy for accounts and programmes that we win
  • Architect, own and successfully deliver client engagements.

Contribute to the overall development and growth of our practice through:

Day To Day Activities For The Role Will Include

  • Defining how to improve clients’ digital customer journeys across multiple digital channels and creating a practical and interactive roadmap for implementation in line with the clients’ commercial objectives
  • Developing digital comms strategy for clients across key customer life stages (for example; welcome, in-life, retention, reactivation)
  • Understanding how to utilise data and key marketing technology platforms to drive personalisation at scale within digital platforms
  • Creating Test, learn and optimise strategy – what the testing strategy should be and how that translates into test designs for individual campaigns
  • Opportunity identification – what we should look at and how we use the customer insight to identify biggest opportunities for the client business
  • Evaluating likely return on marketing investment (ROMI) for a proposed strategy or test
  • Inputting into technology and data enablement and working with martech/data teams to identify the underlying capabilities that will be required
  • Solving client problems by connecting the relevant PwC and client individuals across different disciplines such as Data, Digital, CRM, IT and Commercial teams
  • Running client workshops to identify and understand key business challenges and to co-create customer strategy solutions to those challenges
  • Supporting PwC and Directors Partners and in growing the business through pitches, account and opportunity development
  • Leading the development of sector specific Go To Market materials for our Marketing Managed Services proposition

The successful candidate will have a passion for improving the customer journey and helping clients to be more effective in communicating with customers through digital. We need someone who understands the importance of all the paid, owned and earned digital channels within that customer journey and how they are supported by behavioural and customer data. We expect the candidate to be driven to break new ground by helping to remove the traditional barriers between sales, service and marketing. The candidate will work closely with the other members of PwC’s Strategy&, Customer Led Transformation and Martech teams to develop new ideas and help solve these client challenges together.

Background on PwC’s Marketing Managed Services

PwC’s Marketing Managed Services enable clients to outsource key parts of their marketing strategy and execution to PwC, enabling more effective marketing execution and accelerated digital marketing transformation. We host the marketing automation technology and support clients in developing customer, communications, data and technology strategies so that they can create better customer experiences which are more effective at driving commercial returns than a purely in-house marketing operation.

Skills And Experience

  • Experience in delivering digitally enabled transformation programmes within B2C or B2B organisations which which demonstrate tangible benefits
  • Strong communicator able to succinctly illustrate a digital communications strategy and the underlying supporting rationale to convince and align key client stakeholder
  • Developing multi-channel / omni-channel CRM programmes for a variety of businesses
  • Excellent understanding of the digital arena and how digital and data can be used to deliver real and meaningful value to consumers and a client’s business
  • Strategic thinker, able to deliver strategic pieces of work, with a pragmatic approach, while understanding their operational impact
  • Proven ability to build exceptional relationships with clients and colleagues and the ability to inspire confidence and credibility
  • Successful track record in using strategy to grow client business
  • Experienced with CRM and Omni-channel technologies (preferably with Salesforce Marketing Cloud experience)
  • Building sustainable senior client relationships and be recognised and respected by clients and colleagues as a knowledgeable, valued and trusted professional
  • Track record of building and developing high performing teams. With experience of delivering across multiple workstreams (depending on grade)
  • Sound understanding of customer and emerging technologies and their applications to improve customer and employee experiences
  • A people centric mindset, with a passion for designing and delivering compelling experiences for customers and employees

Strategic thinking and consultancy: Provide clients with digital marketing expertise and strategic thinking based on their business challenges and personal goals. Advise them on ‘what they need to do next’ to develop successful digital marketing programmes.

Communicating Ideas: Getting clients to buy into ideas through knowledgeable delivery, effective storytelling, gravitas and projecting confidence. Able to communicate this in different formats to different audiences from the client board downwards.

Relationship building: Quickly develop strong relationships with senior clients to establish credibility and trust to further embed our advisory services throughout the client business.

Business development: Develop in-depth understanding of client challenges to generate new revenue opportunities for PwC. Effectively pitch and present new opportunities to senior clients.
