The Boeing Company is looking for a Materials, Processes, and Physics Engineering Manager based out of North Charleston, SC.

This role involves the leadership of multi-disciplined teams of engineers and technicians that take pride in developing, integrating, testing and delivering innovative Nondestructive Evaluation (NDE) and Measurement solutions for 787 and future aircraft production and maintenance. The person in this role will be responsible for connecting the Enterprise needs, funding and skills required to continue and advance the state of the art for BR&T NDE and Measurement.

Position Responsibilities:

• Manages employees performing activities within multiple (2 or more) Engineering disciplines

• Develops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures and sets operational goals

• Acquires resources for projects and processes, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements

• Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports

• Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes

• Manages, develops and motivates employees

This position allows telecommuting. The selected candidate will be required to perform most work onsite at the listed location.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret clearance Post Start is not required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

• Bachelor’s, Master’s or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry

• 1+ years of experience leading or managing multi-disciplined technical teams

• 3+ years of experience with project management work, to include meeting cost, schedule and quality targets

• 3+ years of experience with technology implementation

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

• Active Secret clearance

• Experience in aviation and/or aerospace

• Experience in a production environment

• Experience with Non-Destructive Evaluation methods and applications

• Experience with metrology, measurement or measurement analysis

• 3+ years of experience in systems design and/or systems analysis and/or systems integration

• Experience with technology development and delivery
