Member of Technical Staff – Network Operations

Summary of Job Function: This position reports to the Manager of Support and Operations. This group is responsible for the core accountability of managing the support of the Anova network. This person and their team will be responsible for a) monitoring and support of fiber, wireless, and market data circuits and where applicable, their corresponding bolt-on services and b) the timely and accurate support of such circuits and services once installed.

Typical support duties shall include:

· Interfacing with the Anova Tier1 NOC

· Managing the Anova Customer and Management Network

· Crafting customer RFOs as and when applicable

Key Responsibilities:

· Install, upgrade and maintain the Anova Technologies RF, Fiber, and Market Data infrastructure

· Configure, manage, and maintain the Anova Optical network, monitoring light levels for performance

· Respond to Tier 1 and Tier 2 customer NOC requests directly via email and phone

· Perform correlation analysis on network events, determine root cause when applicable

· Configure, manage, and maintain Network Monitoring Applications including PRTG, Icinga and Grafana

· Run network verification testing / packet capture using Viavi/JDSU, XENA Networks and internally developed applications

· Maintain the Anova infrastructure located in the area data/hosting centers

Qualifications, Skills, Experience:

· BS in Telecommunications, Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent

· Demonstrated leadership, analytical skills and ability work in an experientially diverse team

· Demonstrated knowledge of configuring routers, VPNs, networking protocols

· Minimum 5 years of increasing responsibility in a large enterprise or carrier environment

· Excellent presentation, oral, written, and interpersonal skills in a technically dynamic environment

· Demonstrated knowledge and skill with configuring and managing optical network gear (e.g. Ciena, Adva) and routers (e.g. Cisco, Juniper, Arista)

· Demonstrated knowledge of OSI stack, routing protocols, and RF/Optical Equipment

· Lawful employment in the USA on a permanent basis without sponsorship or representation

· Travel as needed

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00 – $90,000.00 per year
