Position Summary

If you are an ambitious, curious, hard-working, and seasoned energy professional, this is an exciting new opportunity for you to join the Metergy Solutions Team. The Meter Analyst is primarily accountable for overseeing activities for new metered services through to billing and customer inquiry support, Meter Data management including remote meter interrogation, data collection, verification and posting using MDM applications, in accordance with established processes and guidelines.

Responsibilities:

  • Support and perform the set up and configuration of new metering devices within the Meter Data Management system and billing system
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to new properties/premises to ensure timely and accurate on-boarding for the first customer billing.
  • Administration of Meter Data collection process involving multiple AMR devices and meter technology
  • Process metering data and execute the data validation, estimation and edit (VEE) process.
  • Review and analyze exception reports from various meter data management systems. Determine and implement appropriate actions to resolve
  • Identify meter data system anomalies or issues for resolution
  • Interface with field staff, prior to and during commissioning of meter installations and commencement of meter data collection
  • Coordinate and communicate with internal support departments and external vendors/contractor to ensure availability of metered data
  • Provide technical and analytical support related to meter data management accountabilities, such as investigation of customer inquiries or complaints and provide support to groups such as Client Management or Revenue Assurance.
  • Analyzing and auditing data while resolving any issues with both technical and non-technical resources

Qualifications:

  • Engineering Degree (Mechanical or Electrical preferred) or relevant Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university and/or prior related work experience, ideally in utility metering or billing
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience required
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Electrical principles, terminology, data collection systems, metering and billing
  • Experience in networking and telecommunications.
  • Knowledge of communications protocols, firewalls, TCP/IP.
  • Strong proficiency with MS Office, specifically MS Excel
  • Strong team player and customer service focus that creates key partnerships between teams;
  • Highly motivated, pro-active, a flexible professional with the ability to adapt to a complex and quickly changing environment;
  • Ability to analyze and synthesize information for decision making, work independently and solve issues.
