• The government client requires all employees to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 for any/all positions that will require travel.

  Full vaccination (against COVID-19) is defined as: an individual must be either two weeks past the last shot of a two-shot vaccination sequence, or two weeks past the only shot of a one-shot vaccination sequence.

  Description of Duties:

  The Mid-Level Network Sustaining Engineer supports the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) on the Integrated Research and Development for Enterprise Solutions (IRES) contract. The candidate will:

• Understand and ensure maintenance of the IT/IM baseline in reference to the infrastructure relationships to services.
• Continually evaluate and ensure the necessary steps are followed for performance, reliability and availability, ensuring cybersecurity integrity.
• Ensure and verify all drawings accurately reflect the as-built configuration.
• Maintain technical expertise of the assets and capabilities of the total IM/IT systems including the processing protocols, processes, operational procedures, and critical issues pertaining to maintenance and security within the IT infrastructure.
• Support all facets of Disaster Recovery planning and exercise to ensure services are not interrupted.
• Be able to thoroughly document work and adhere to enterprise processes & procedures.

• This position can be filled at Schriever SFB, Colorado Springs, CO or Redstone Arsenal, Huntsville, AL

  This position is expected to pay $109,400 – $123,000 annually; depending on location, experience, education, and any certifications that are directly related to the position.

Here’s What You’ll Need:

Basic Requirements:

Must have one of the following combinations of education and experience: HS Diploma (or GED) and 10 years of general experience; Associate’s degree and 8 years of general experience; Bachelor’s degree and 6 years of general experience; Master’s degree and 4 years of general experience

• If this position requires travel selected candidate must be willing to provide proof of fully vaccinated (against COVID-19) status? (the process of which must be completed prior to the anticipated start date)
• Must have 6 years of directly related experience with Networks/Boundary
• Must have Systems and/or Network Design experience in an Enterprise environment
• Must have a current DoD 8570.01 IAT Level II Certification such as CompTIA Security+ CE Certification or higher
• Must have, or be able to obtain, an active DoD Secret Security Clearance

Desired Requirements:

• Have a Cisco certification such as CCNA
• Have experience with systems engineering best practices
• Have experience developing processes and training
• Be highly self-motivated with strong organizational and communication skills
• Have knowledge of BMC Remedy
• Have strong attention to detail and flexibility in a high speed environment
• Have knowledge with some of these technologies:
  • Traffic Flows/Traffic Patterns/Traffic Analysis
  • Multiple network types, internet and routing protocols, firewall configuration and troubleshooting, and telecommunications
  • High Availability
  • Disaster Recovery
  • Cybersecurity
