Bouygues Energies & Services currently has an exciting opportunity for a Mobile Cleaner to join our Facilities Management team covering our Merseyside Fire & Rescue Service contract at fire stations across Merseyside. This is a permanent role working 35 hours per week, 7 hours per day, Monday to Friday from 08:00 to 15:30 with a 30 minute unpaid lunch break


The role:

  • Will report to the Soft Services Facilities Officer
  • To undertake general cleaning duties in a mobile capacity across all sites, to a high standard
  • To ensure cleaning of floors, toilets, furniture and fittings and the empty and removal of rubbish for example.
  • To clean carpets in accordance with manufacturers recommendations
  • To undertake major and minor periodic cleaning duties as required but the department / services.
  • To ensure stock for cleaning is replenished at all sites
  • Cover sickness absence and annual leave at various sites within the contract
  • To check that all cleaning equipment is safe to use before starting work and report any defects immediately. Ensure all cleaning equipment including machinery used is cleaned and returned to designated storerooms in a safe and tidy manner after use ready for next cleaning operation
  • Provide rapid response to urgent requests for assistance
  • Working 35 hours per week, 7 hours per day, Monday to Friday from 08:00 to 15:30 with a 30 minute unpaid lunch break


The person:

  • Previous cleaning experience in a similar role is desirable, however training will be provided
  • Full driving licence as travel to various sites across the contract will be required and a Company van will be provided
  • Ability to pass internal vetting requirements
  • Understanding of COSSH regulations
  • Excellent customer services skills and high attention to detail
  • Ability to work as part of a team and / or independently
