Position Overview: Performs technical tasks needed to set up and regularly maintain core and access switching, enterprise wireless access points, firewalls and support IT projects. The tasks include technical planning (cost, capacity, logistics), preparing for service changes, implementing new technologies, documenting network configurations, performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, managing changes, and monitoring network uptime and security. Job Duties: • Administer growing infrastructure using core and access switches, wireless APs, and high-availability firewalls. • Assist Operations Technology team with connectivity to SCADA and MES systems • Work on the design and delivery of new solutions as a part of the design team • Plan and administer the IT infrastructure to meet ever-changing business requirements and improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the services. • Research and provide recommendations for network and security technologies. • Participate in developing and documenting the policies and procedures for consistent infrastructure management, methodologies, and standards. • Coordinate physical environment usage and planning across geographies (data centers, labs, remote offices). • Administer networks in lab environments and IT facilities. • Capacity management of systems and services. • Provide input into how costs are measured, tracked, and reported. • Enforce security policies for protecting data and shared infrastructure resources. • Set and review the configuration of security access privileges • Document and configure network infrastructure. • Regular preventative maintenance (daily, weekly, monthly) • Troubleshooting and triaging complex problems to avoid extended costly downtime and service outages. • Root cause analysis utilizing analytical problem solving to provide long-term problem resolution. • Administer the information technology continuity and availability systems. • Administer the messaging, database, and telecommunications operations. • Administer SD-WAN and connectivity to Azure tenants. • Administer the capacity of systems and services. • Administer the intranet and extranet hosting service operations. • Create and manage user accounts and permissions. • Monitor the availability of infrastructure services. • Support end-users as needed • Collaborate with the rest of the IT department and work with helpdesk team on priority tickets. • Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule. • Position will be onsite, based out of Solid Power Louisville or Thornton facilities Commented (AM1): mention onsite requirements • Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the department, the Strategic Business Units, Strategic Support Units, and the Company. Additional Skills & Qualifications:
• Related Bachelor’s and 3 or more years of related experience; or a related Associate Degree with 5 or more years of related experience. • Each higher-level degree, i.e., Associate’s, Bachelor’s Degree, Master’s Degree or Ph.D., may substitute for additional years of experience. • Related certifications may count towards years of related experience. • Related technical experience may be considered in lieu of education. The degree must be from a university, college, or school which is accredited by an agency recognized by the US Secretary of Education, US Department of Education. • CCNA, CCNP, PCCET, PCNSA, ACNT, ACSA, Net+ or equivalent certifications are a plus. • VMWare, Azure, and Microsoft experience and certifications are a plus. • Experience with NG AV and ZTNA technologies and DLP services.
