About the role

The Network Analyst role is a technician working as part of the Cyber/Network team providing support in the areas of storage administration, telecommunications, and data network technologies focused on Cyber Security for a large-scale manufacturing environment. This position involves supporting storage and network activities including backup and recovery as well as monitoring the various Data Center environments and ensuring Cyber Security protection on all PC endpoints. This position reports to Information System Services Manager.

Your day-to-day

· Manage and support backup and recovery verification activities and working collaboratively with system hosting to monitor and address any issues.

· Working as part of the Cyber/Network team ensuring that all storage and server environments including all Data Centers are properly monitored and working closely with the appropriate stakeholders to resolve any issues. Willingness to visit physical areas if required.

· Monitoring and ensuring Cyber Security protection on all PC endpoints.

· Responsible for set-up, configuration and documentation of storage related equipment.

· Provide general support for all facets of telecommunications, including the wide and local area networks, routers, firewalls, in-plant wiring, cable management, PC Cyber Security and desktop telephones.

· Help develop and implement technology roadmaps and standards

· Manage customer support for break/fix and enhancements.

· Assist with maintaining the security of the network and PC endpoints, both internally & externally

· Assist with solving complex problems with many variables

· Manage technology vendors

· Participate in developing test plans, implementation plans, and project timelines for various projects

· Remain available for off-hours support for both Hamilton and Lake Erie facilities including weekends and evenings as required.

What you bring to the table

Job Qualifications

· Network engineering degree or community college diploma with accredited certifications

· Minimum of 5 years’ industry experience

Job Skills and Knowledge

· Datacenter/ISP experience (SDN Software Defined Networking, virtual switches, BGP, OSPF, MPLS)

· Understanding of storage, backup, monitoring set-up and protocols.

· Proficient in building routers, switches, wireless, VOIP and proxies based on gnu/Linux or UNIX

· Proficient with configuring the following hardware : Ciscso ASA, 3850, 3750, 6500, 2960, Cisco Mesh wireless and industrial switch models

· Industrial IT and OT technologies in a manufacturing environment

· Strong understanding of Fortinet, Fortigate, Scrutinizer technologies and solutions

· Clean driving record

· Strong verbal communication, written communication, and listening skills

· Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills
