About the Role:

The Network Analyst I/II – NOC will assist with the management, operational support, and troubleshooting for all on/off net Optical/Wave, Ethernet, Dark Fiber wholesale customer data and transport services. The Wholesale Service Assurance (WSA) team provides 24x7x365 support for the Windstream Communication service provider network.


What You’ll Do:

  • Work with LEC’s, IXC’s, vendors, internal departments, and customers to successfully troubleshoot impairments and outages as required
  • Utilize Remedy ticketing system for documentation, escalations and field operations dispatches
  • Follow prescribed escalation (internal/external) polices within SLAs
  • Provide leadership to team members
  • Accept escalations as provided by management
  • Perform work in shifts within a 24×7 Network Operations Center environment


Do You Have?

  • Knowledge of optical transport networks, including Cyan Z33/Z77, Cisco ONS 15454, Cisco CPT, Infinera, Ciena 4200, and Tellabs 7100
  • Knowledge of Ethernet services, Data routing, and MPLS
  • Ability to read and interpret CLR/DLRs
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work a shift from 4:00 pm – 12:30 pm EDT Sunday through Thursday (specific days could change)


Even Better:

  • Strong Ethernet and/or DWDM experience as a network technician/engineer
  • Network Operations Center experience with a telecom provider

Job Requirements

Minimum Requirements:

Associate’s Degree in a technical discipline and 4-6 years technical/telephony experience with 4 years directly related to the job; or 7 years of directly related telephony or network operations experience and/or an equivalent combination of education and directly related experience required.
