The Core Network Architect will report to the Director, Core Technology Architecture Planning. The Core Technology Planning teams are accountable for delivering a system level view including platform evolution, network service integration, core network resiliency modeling along with capital cost consolidation and optimization.

As the Core Network Architect, you will be involved in activities related to Core Network technology roadmaps. Working with various Engineering teams, you will consolidate an end to end view of network architecture with aligned connectivity between the IP Core Network, the Management Networks and Data Centre Networks with 3 year Network Capital Plans.

In addition, you will be involved with 3rd party benchmarking analysis and network performance improvement recommendations.

Core Network Technical Competencies:
Minimum 5+ years of direct experience working with Tier 1 Service Provider on Core IP network infrastructure
Strong IP networking with hands on experience in Core Network IP routing and DC connectivity technologies including EVPN, Segment Routing MPLS to interconnect DC elements like border leaf DCIs, spines, leafs and servers
Core IP networking competencies include: OSPF/ISIS, BGP/MPBGP, MPLS, MPLS-TE, Multicast, IPv6 Direct work experience with Cisco, Juniper, Nokia
Familiarity with current industry best practices on IP Automation technologies

What you bring:

Undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related discipline preferred. 5-10 years experience with a Tier 1 Telecom Service Provider
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Good blend of skills and passion for both technical and business/financial fields
