Qualifications: Education: * Associates degree in a technical discipline required. Experience: * Minimum 2 years of related experience in information technology operations environments with similar technologies required. Certifications: * Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification preferred. o Certifications will require transcripts or certification ID Technical Skills or Knowledge: * Experience using Cisco’s OS required. * Experience with routing, switching technologies from Brocade, Juniper and/or Arista preferred. * Experience with Infoblox DHCP and DNS preferred * Experience working with and troubleshooting endpoints and PCs, laptops, printers, AV equipment, and IoT devices. * Experience with Microsoft Office products * Firm understanding of network topology and architecture required. * Basic understanding of network packet capture and packet analysis required. * Basic understanding and use of UNIX commands required. * Demonstrated understanding of the following is required: common circuit types, wired and wireless routing protocols, network security concepts, VoIP; DNS, DHCP, IPAM, current Cisco routers and switches and network management and monitoring tools required. * Familiarity with SNMP and its concepts required. * Working knowledge of routing (EIGRP, OSPF, RIP, BGP) and routed protocols required. * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills required. * Performs other related work as needed. Preferred Competencies * Excellent communication skills, especially in conveying technical concepts to a non-technical audience. * Ability to diagnose complex technical problems. * Work under general supervision. * Handle multiple tasks and substantial deadline pressure. Working Conditions * Occasional irregular work schedule due to network changes or incidents. * Handle emergency situations outside of normal business hours.

Responsibilities: Job Description * Analyzes workload, monitors network capacity and performance, and diagnoses and resolves network problems. * Monitors and proactively supports connectivity and associated services such as printers, workstations, WiFi and VoIP. * Assists in developing, designing, documenting, and implementing new networks or modifications to existing networks. * Performs Cisco router and switch configuration, and troubleshoots network outage resolution. * Configures network hardware services for the network environment. * Assists tier 1 personnel in identifying problems with network components and services. * Coordinates the installation of network hardware, communications wiring, wireless telecommunications facilities, communications software, and other network components.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $55.00 – $60.00 per hour
