Network Engineer

Peterson Cat has a need for an experienced Network Engineer at our San Leandro, CA location. This position is responsible for design, configuration, installation, maintenance, troubleshooting and monitoring local and wide area networks for Peterson Holding. The person in the position ensures networks are running smoothly and upgrades networks to provide maximum performance. Performs project planning and project management including diagnostics of VoIP and Avaya phone systems. IP Telephony Design and implementation including provisioning of circuit cards, trunking and VoIP phones Plan and maintain the highly technical, logical configuration of phone system technologies. Works with multiple Tier 1 telecom vendors on a variety of products and service (MPLS, Voice, IP, SIP, Hosting, Wireless/Mobility, Fiber etc.) Collaborate with outside vendors/project leads to provide knowledge of network and voice technologies to ensure successful implementations of new or changed systems.

A candidate for the opening needs a Bachelor’s Degree from a fully accredited college in Information Technology, Computer Science, or other closely related field; and a minimum of 3 years of directly related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and work experience. Must be able to travel to remote stores 10-20% of the time.

• CCNP (Cisco Certified Network Professional)
• Maintain a valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $105,000.00 – $130,000.00 per year
