Capstone IT is helping our client in Omaha find their next teammate! The Network Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, administering, monitoring and troubleshooting the organizations network, telecommunications and video conferencing infrastructure throughout all datacenters, corporate offices, disaster recovery site and all branch offices. Additionally, they establish, document and maintain policies, procedures and standards. The Network Engineer effectively communicates with peers and other teams to report and resolve quality, hardware, software and operational issues, monitors performance, security, and implements necessary changes in a timely and effective manner. They will also assist in the development of strategies and solutions consistent with organizational objectives.

Accountabilities

  • Responsible for the design, configuration, installation, maintenance and management of network and telephony related devices and software
  • Accountable for managing hardware and software that supports the networking and voice infrastructure including but not limited to routers, core switches, branchcloset switches, wireless, firewalls, load balancers, SDWAN, voice gateways and voice routers, VPN and various monitoring products
  • Responsible for designing, updating and supporting all aspects of the voice and video communication hardware and software platforms including Cisco and Avaya
  • Accountable for advanced voice monitoring and reporting technologies
  • Ability to create and update ACD scripts to meet the business needs required
  • Responsible for moves, adds and change requests related to routers, switches, wireless devices physical and software-based phones, voicemail accounts and video conferencing requests across the organization
  • Responsible for monitoring all network and telecommunication devices and services
  • Monitor and track network and telephony circuit costs while working to maximize the investment Responsible for managing backups and preforming regular disaster recovery tests for all network and telecommunication devices, software and services
  • Recommend and implement security improvements based on current technology security standards and offerings in a timely and repeatable fashion
  • Responsible for designing, implementing and managing complex networks in a multi-site and hybrid cloud configuration
  • Accountable for the designs and configuration of all networking devices
  • Actively participates or leads assigned team projects fulfilling task assignments, meeting deadlines, and proactively seeking attainment of team goals
  • Responsible for designing, implementing and troubleshooting secure network and voice services and regularly recommend security and performance improvements
  • Work with carriers and providers to design and implement geographically redundant, secure network and telecommunications services
  • Responsible for advanced telephony management that also include moves, adds and change requests related to ACD users, ACD script changes
  • Demonstrate advanced troubleshooting ability and can quickly isolate root issues relate to network, voice, and video communications
  • Responsible for auditing and maximizing features and functions available within our license’s agreements
  • Actively shares knowledge and experience with other team members to develop effective bench strength
  • Regularly create executive reports on identified team KPI’s

Requirements:

· Senior Level with 5-7 Years network engineering experience

· Cisco ISE experience

· Cisco lan controller is a must

· Network access control

· Wireless experience

Pay: $1.00 per year

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift

Experience:

  • Computer networking: 5 years (Preferred)
  • Cisco ISE: 5 years (Preferred)
  • Cisco Lan Controller: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Wireless networking: 3 years (Preferred)
