Network Engineer

Full-time | 80 hours per two weeks | Monday-Friday 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. | On-call after one month | Position will work remotely

What you’ll do:

The Network Engineer I is responsible for the analyzing, planning, implementation, configuration, administration, support and maintenance of CentraCare’s Enterprise Network infrastructure. Activities include analyzing network performance, capacity planning and design, ensuring uptime, resource availability; matching the organization’s resources with the demand placed on them; monitoring network performance; identifying and resolving complexed network problems; upgrading network hardware and software equipment; ensuring the quality, accuracy and security of the network. Supports and implements patient safety and other safety practices as appropriate. Supports and demonstrates Family Centered Care principles when interacting with patients and their families and with co-workers.

What you’ll have:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related subject or equivalent work experience.
• 3 years or more years of experience in areas such as IP data networking support, design, implementation, LAN/WAN interfacing, wireless networks, network security, Internet protocols and TCP/IP.
• Experience working on theories, practices and procedures with a variety of network protocols, software and hardware involved in LAN/WAN, wireless and Firewall network operations.
• Cisco Certified Network Associate One of the following within 2 years of employment: Cisco CCNA or greater.
• If primary job duties assigned are not specifically related to working on Cisco software and hardware – Cisco CCT, Network+ certification or certification in area of primary responsibility is acceptable.
• Cisco ACI, SD-LAN/WAN, DNA Cernter, Live-Action, Cisco wireless, Checkpoint FW preferred.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytic, diagnostic skills, detail- oriented and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to prioritize work assignments and/or problem solutions to endure completion within established timeframes.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong Microsoft Office suite capabilities.
• Ability to think creatively and work collaboratively to address problems.
