Network Engineer

• Teesside (Hybrid-working)
• c£45,000 to £50,000 per year

The Opportunity:

Our client specialise in providing integrated infrastructure solutions and following a sustained period of growth are currently looking to attract an ICT Network Engineer to join their expanding and progressive ICT Department.

You will be joining a dynamic team of professionals who offer operations management, engineering services and energy management solutions to companies in high hazard industries such as Oil & Gas, Energy and Chemical.

Skills and Experience:

• Experiences in providing 3rd line support for network, switch and communications systems, managing the monitoring and optimisation of the networking platforms whilst reviewing/managing capacity requirements
• Proven networking experience working with Azure Cloud and M365
• Ensure that IT continuity plans, technology and tools safeguard data integrity, security and access
• Co-ordinate with teams within IT to ensure that service outages are correctly communicated to the business or affected users
• Subject Matter Expert for all aspects of secure configuration practices, VLAN’s, QOS, scripting and maintenance, network security protocols
• Subject Matter Expert in networking, working with WAN, MPLS, VPN, LAN and Telecoms technologies
• Experience with VOIP Telephony would be an advantage (MITEL)

Role and Responsibilities:

To provide the required expertise and skills working as an ICT Network Engineer to assist the ICT team with the overall management, delivery, and deployment of all group network infrastructure and communication systems. Ensuring that ICT policies and procedures are continually met in line with business and legislative requirements to maintain high levels of safety, availability and reliability for all ICT systems by ensuring the effective and accurate provision of a diverse range of ICT duties.
