Technology Lab
The Network Engineer III designs network solutions to help meet company goals and industry standards. This position requires a strong understanding of telecommunications and network technology, hardware, software, and services to ensure proactive monitoring and maintenance of client network environments. Solid leadership experience in designing networks and technologies using various telecommunication technologies, including but not limited to: MPLS, Wireless, Firewalls and broadband solutions with VPN. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responds to inquiries and requests for assistance with the Level I and Level II Technicians, with business and personal computer systems.
- Identify problems, troubleshoot and implement resolutions to assist users.
- Performs review audits of client’s current information systems. Evaluates operating practices to determine if controls and security measures are adequate. Assesses dependability and integrity of information systems and associated data.
- Perform Disaster Recovery functions for supported end clients.
- Perform Network and Security Audits
- Oversee and administer client’s network servers, network infrastructure, peripheral devices and workstations.
- Monitor performance and maintain security of LANs. Work with multiple hardware and software platforms.
- Assesses network performance. Sets up and observes network systems and peripherals. Recommend and implement upgrades or improvements. Resolves network problems and offers technical assistance to users.
- Anticipate, mitigate, identify, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware and software problems on servers, input/output fleet, and workstations
- Ensure the integrity and security of enterprise data on host computers, multiple databases, and during data transfer in accordance to business needs and industry best-practices regarding privacy, security, and regulatory compliance.
- Practice network asset management, including maintenance of network component inventory and related documentation and technical specifications information
- Utilize our organization’s monitoring software/hardware used in the maintaining the client’s network infrastructure.
- Conduct research on emerging products, services, protocols, and standards in support of systems software procurement and development efforts.
- Recommend, schedule, and perform software and hardware improvements, upgrades, patches, reconfigurations, and/or purchases.
- Assist in the rollout of large projects, including installation of computers, servers, firewalls, switches, APs, and more, as well as using network planning/tuning software to ensure adequate wifi coverage
- Troubleshoot various platforms such as Microsoft Windows (All Versions), Mac OSX, Windows Server (All Versions), SQL Server, MS Exchange, Active Directory, Terminal Services, Microsoft Azure, VMWare, and various networking protocols such as VPN, TCP/IP, etc.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- CompTia A+ Certification, Network+ (Active and Current)
- Expert-Level Comprehension of Network Setups and Configurations
- At least 4 – 8 years of experience working in IT Service Team/MSP NOC Team Environment Preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
- MCITP, MCP, CCNA, CCDA, CCNP or a combination of at least three (3) in Current and Active Status
- Prefer to have previous experience with Meraki product stack

WORK ENVIRONMENT EXPECTATIONS:
Work in this environment is considered medium physical work requiring the exertion of up to forty (40) pounds of force occasionally and up to twenty (20) pounds of force frequently, and up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
Must be able to:
- Walk, lift, reach, stoop, sit, squat, bend, stand, grasp, balance, climb, kneel, crouch and type for extended periods of time up to 10 hours.
