Network Engineer IV/ Stars II Telecommunications & Communication Engr.

Responsibilities

· Provide for implementation of DoS Cable Plant and Infrastructure program activities.

· Support the scheduled and unscheduled deployment of DoS Cable Plant and Infrastructure systems throughout EAP

· Provide senior level network and computing support with an emphasis on IP, VPN, Active Directory, RF shielding, connectivity, and telecommunications.

· Provide DoS Cable Plant and Infrastructure subject matter expertise and research/development assistance.

· Evaluate new concepts and technologies.

· Provide support for the installation of all manners of DoS cable plants.

· Provide headquarters-based and deployed support for EAP projects as necessary including those accomplished expeditionary environments.

· Other tasks assigned by HgP.

Requirements

· Active Top Secret and Cryptographic Clearance

· Expert knowledge of DoS contingency computing and communications programs with an emphasis on the use of these systems in emergency situations.

· Expert knowledge of fixed and non-fixed computing networking.

· Expert knowledge of connectivity solutions including satellite based systems.

· Expert knowledge of IRM programs, functions and requirements.

· Expert knowledge of DoS overseas diplomatic environment including high threat Locations.

· Expert knowledge of DoS cable infrastructure deployment requirements and activities.

· Expert knowledge of the development of complete bills of material related to the installation of technology systems in U.S. diplomatic facilities abroad

· Significant experience providing on-site technology service at U.S. diplomatic facilities abroad.

· 8+ years of federal computer and networking experience.

· 5+ years’ experience managing deployment of contingency computing and computing systems overseas.

· 5+ years of cryptographic and IT security experience.

· Ability to lift 5Olbs

· Must be willing to travel international to do site survey and provide design and BOM

· Should be able to lead projects & team.
