Your opportunity:
Our Toronto office is looking for a Network Engineer Specialist to join our IT team and own the following responsibilities:
- Participate in planning, designing, implementing, and maintaining a large, complex IT Network and Telecom environment nationally. Prime responsibilities include the following services:
- Enterprise WAN such as MPLS, SD-WAN, Internet
- Core and Branch LAN environment
- WAN Optimization services
- Microsoft Teams (VoIP and Telephony)
- Knowledge of Network Security
- Wi-Fi environment
- Work with various established service providers and vendors for support, design and roadmaps.
- Demonstrate strong skillset to prepare instructional and design documents, sharing knowledge with other team members.
- Actively provides third level support for network infrastructure in collaboration with other functional groups, business units and vendors.
- Participate in activities which may only be performed outside normal office operating hours and during weekends, such as deployments, security patches and OS upgrades.
- Ability to share “On-Call” responsibilities with a team of skilled individuals for after-hours escalations and work when needed.
- Maintain up-to-date inventory records.
- Participate in projects and change management processes for successful IT services outcome.
- Collaborate with peers and vendors to keep abreast of technological developments, market and product offerings and suggesting best practices for the Firm.

Your experience and education
- You have at least 5 years’ experience working as a Network professional with at least 3 years of hands-on Juniper or similar multilayer switch and router configuration and troubleshooting experience in a 24/7 critical infrastructure system environment across multiple sites.
- You have solid knowledge and understanding of network technology, architecture and elements, and an understanding of the associated interworking.
- You have 2+ years’ experience in configuring and managing WLAN environment for optimal service delivery. Working with Juniper MIST or Aruba Network’s ClearPass and Airwave is an asset.
- MS Teams and Telephony background is an asset.
- Knowledge in working with Riverbed, Fortinet and Netscalar appliances is an asset.
- You have strong knowledge of TCP/IP, OSI model, routing protocols, NAT, VLAN Trunking, VoIP and SIP.
- You are familiar with alarming, logging and monitoring technologies.
- You are an organized self-starter in managing deadlines and able to work on multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
- You are fluent in English, written and verbal. French is an asset.
- You have a university Degree in Computer Science or in a related discipline.
