Overview:

The Network Engineer oversees and coordinates the workflow between Planning, Engineering and Drafting functions, and reports these schedules and progress to senior management. This position issues work assignments, and monitors quality of work performed. Is responsible for issuing resolution, and acts as the contact point for the vendor.

Qualifications:

• 2-5 years of OSP Engineering and field experience in buried, UG and Aerial.
• Copper and Fiber experience is a must
• Experience designing and engineering MDUs.
• Working knowledge of aerial and UG OSP Plant (Manholes, Handholes, etc..)
• Able to read standardized engineering work prints
• Experience with GIS/CAD platforms is a must
• CAS Coding experience (accounting codes to break out the job for finance)
• Data management experience, with Excel and/or Smartsheets
• Planning experience
• Working knowledge of FTTx
• Ability to identify existing telephone plant, electric, and other utilities on the site plans as well as in the field
• Ability to relocate facilities
• Knowledge of obtaining right of ways and easements where required
• Must be capable of engineering routine and specific OSP work orders
• Must have a functional knowledge of OSP principles, work order procedures, telephone industry standards, PC applications, and OSP record and/or computer aided drafting systems
• Required Tools: Laptop / desktop computer (Windows based)
