Lab Admin 1.5 (Material Management and Lab Technician)

1. Must have experience in an electronic material handling environment, preferably in the computing, networking, or telecommunications industry. Must have the ability to work with minimal supervision and be able to lift 25 lbs. Responsible for the general maintenance of the lab and tasks associated with the relocation and installation of networking equipment within the lab.

2. Assisting Lab Admins in setting up testbeds. Physical de-racking, moving, and re-racking of network equipment within or between labs. Documentation of installs/deinstalls/reinstalls. Clean up of areas within the lab/stores that have fallen from lab policy standards.

Duties include:

• Receiving, stocking, and issuing electronic and mechanical equipment and components.
• Verifying items’ quantity and condition.
• Maintaining a controlled area for storage of project materials.
• Maintaining accurate inventory records.
• Cycle counting of inventory items.
• Tagging and tracking of assets.
• Working with shipping departments on packaging & shipping
• RMA processing (asset transfer & tracking).
• Knowledge of MS Excel, Word, and email.
• Options for Oracle, Agile
