Network Management Technical Architect

We are building world class, software-driven networking products and looking to hire Network Management Technical Architects in Germany to support new product initiatives that will be deployed across large telecom operator networks across the world. The ideal Architect will have more than ten years with deep expertise in Telecom domain spanning Network Element Management (EMS), Broadband Access technologies, L2/L3 Packet Transport (Ethernet Switching and IP Routing) and cloud networking from both traditional products and transformational products (disaggregated, virtualized, and based on open-source software). Further, the architect brings a strong background in state-of-the-art software technology.

Responsibilities

• Will have architectural (design and implementation) ownership of components of the EMS product/solution, data models, interfaces to OSS/BSS systems and Network Elements.
• Will architect product in consultation with PLM, pre-sales, and customers
• Will work out key customer requirements and document them to allow development teams to implement
• Will closely interact with key customers, especially on defining and implementing processes for large scale network operations.
• Will contribute to and work on strategic wins.
• Will be required to provide periodic presentations to Radisys Senior Leadership and Customers.
• Will have responsibility for developing Management architecture in a Kubernetes environment.

Qualifications

• Masters / Bachelor in any discipline of Engineering (e.g., Computer Science)
• Deep knowledge of Network Management Technologies to support fault, configuration, accounting, performance, and security functions.
• Deep knowledge of Telecom (IP, Broadband Access, SDN and NFV) and network management (OSS/BSS, TMF, NetConf/Yang) technologies is a must. This includes significant “hands-on” experience [US1] [US2] [HJK3]
• Experience developing data models and processes from requirements stage to detailed designs and guiding implementation teams
• Must have experience related to the challenges with Network Management in production deployment.
• Knowledge on CI/CD and microservice-based architectures, ideally hands-on experience
• Practitioner of Agile/SCRUM/SAFe using Gitlab pipelines
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to document system designs and requirements
• Well organized with a strong attention to detail
• Positive attitude and comfortable with a fluid and fast-moving environment
• Must be fluent in English and German (writing and speaking)
