The opportunity: Network Operations Centre Engineer, Level 1


Location: Texas

As a Network Operations Centre Engineer you will monitor the global operations of FiberSense systems. You will work within the remote and globally distributed Network Operating Centre team to troubleshoot and provide services to clients at the highest levels of performance.


A day in the life: What you’ll be doing

Your duties may include:

  • Monitor installed systems that provide clients with critical real-time system information.
  • Analyse and interpret data signals from installed systems.
  • Provide first class support via email and phone calls to our customers.
  • Direct and launch on the ground personnel in various countries to investigate real time signals
  • Contribute ideas to improve existing systems and processes.
  • Download and use relevant Applications and Systems as required including but not limited to: WhatsApp, Teams, Internal Portals and Systems etc

Within 6 months, you will have:

  • Meet the team & been introduced to FiberSense
  • Participated in the 3 month NOC training programme. This programme will involve:
  • Started working on NOC shifts in a team as well as solo
  • Responded to downtime and other customer facing events on the NOC
  • Directed on the ground personnel to respond to high threat situations based on real time signal analysis.

Essential
:

  • Legally qualified to work in North America without visa sponsorship
  • Willing to work 12 hour shifts from 7am-7pm GMT -4 (Week 1: Mon, Tues, Fri, Sat, Sun; Week 2: Weds, Thurs)
  • Willing to work from home in a global company
  • Strong pattern recognition skills/good at interpreting data and graphs
  • Strong decision making skills
  • Discipline and attention to detail to deliver quality work
  • Strong English communication skills

Highly desired:

  • Bachelor in Engineering or Science
  • Relevant work experience (e.g. NOC, data analytics, customer service, telecom industry, tech industry)
  • Experienced shift work
  • Passion for technology
  • Ambition to learn and progress
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Fast learner

Hourly rate: $20 USD /hour
