The Network/Server Administrator should have proven experience maintaining computer networks and systems including software, servers, VPNs, routers and other physical hardware. The Network/Server Administrator’s role is to ensure the stable & secure operation of the Prime’s computer network. This includes planning, developing, installing, configuring, maintaining, supporting, securing, and optimizing all network hardware, software, and communication links. The person will also analyze, troubleshoot and resolve end user network problems in a timely and accurate fashion and provide end user training where required.
Responsibilities and Duties
· Ensuring all systems are backed up both locally and to the cloud successfully daily.
· Manage the deployment, monitoring, maintenance, development, upgrade and support of all IT systems, including telecommunications, servers, PCs, operating systems, hardware, software, peripherals and Office Automation equipment.
· Benchmark, analyze, report on, and make recommendations for the improvement and growth of the IT infrastructure and IT systems.
· Monitoring the security of the network with appropriate virus/malware software.
· Work with stakeholders to define business and systems requirements for new technology implementations.
· Keep current with the latest technologies when possible.
· Develop and implement all IT policies and procedures, including those for architecture, security, disaster recovery, and standards.
· Troubleshooting Audio/Video conferencing.
· Practice asset management for IT hardware, software and equipment.
- Specify users and user access levels per business requirements.
- Approve, schedule, plan, and implement patches and updates on servers accordingly.
- Develop standards and guidelines to protect confidential data information.
- Setting up MFA on users in Azure for 0365 users.
- Perform other duties as assigned such as administration of Print Servers, etc.
Knowledge (position requirements at entry):
Knowledge of:
· Telecommunications, network and PC operating systems.
· Current network hardware, protocols and standards.
- Microsoft and Linux operating systems.
- Audio/Video Conferencing
· VLANS ,VOIP, and MFA
· Knowledge of NIST 8071 requirements
· Preferred experience in ITAR related environments.
· AD, Azure, DNS, and DHCP
Minimum Requirements
· Bachelor’s degree in related field or a combination of education and related work experience.
· Proven experience of server administration.
· Strong understanding of networking protocols and administration.
· Experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus.
Quality Management System (QMS)
Support and follow all ISO standards. These systems may include, but are not limited to, quality, the environment, health, safety and security.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 – $100,000.00 per year
