Network System Administrator

The Cherokee Tribal Gaming Commission (TGC) is the independent tribal gaming regulatory authority established in 1993 under Chapter 16 of the Cherokee Code of the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians (EBCI). Our purpose and mission is to protect the Tribe’s assets and to ensure the fairness and integrity of gaming activity within all gaming facilities of the EBCI.

TGC is seeking a Network System Administrator to provide advanced network and systems support, identify and resolve complex problems, report issues to IT, and update departmental documentation. This position is responsible for the internal administration and troubleshooting of the system and Web Portals for the Pryme database. The Network System Administrator also supports functions on all platforms, including but not limited to: Property Networks, Microsoft OS, Wireless Networks, PCs, Telecommunications, and the Pryme application.

Minimum Mandatory Qualifications

Experience:

Five (5) years in an information technology role that required ongoing, up-to-date knowledge of new systems, information, software, hardware, and upgrades. Experience to include two (2) years in networking and server management support within the gaming industry, dealing with user problems and vendor relationships and one (1) year experience in SQL programming and UNIX.

Education:

Bachelor’s Degree in related field required.

Licenses & Certifications:

Valid, insurable Driver’s License required. Must be twenty-one (21) years of age to be employed in a gaming environment. Required degree must be from an accredited educational institution.

Other:

Hiring is observed in accordance with Tribal Ordinance, to include ordinance regarding Tribal Preference.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $64,581.00 – $72,654.00 per year
