Position Summary

The Network & Systems Administrator oversees 3 geographically distinct physical Local Area Networks and over 35 different cloud applications. This position also provides support to a distributed workforce of approximately 130 users.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Tier 2 Helpdesk support and problem resolution
  • Onboarding/Provisioning, cloud app IAM
  • Ensure availability of all cloud and on-premise systems
  • Management of entire hardware asset lifecycle of networking equipment
  • Internet connectivity, troubleshooting, upgrades
  • Patch management/updates
  • Log/Alerts Monitoring
  • Documentation
  • Assist in planning and implementing security measures to safeguard electronic information against accidental or unauthorized modifications, destruction, or disclosure
  • Ensure regular and complete backups of computer systems as needed
  • Perform on-site network and hardware troubleshooting to isolate, diagnose and fix common network problems
  • Ensure proper maintenance of network equipment, operating systems, software, and hardware using proper controls and procedures
  • Ensure proper inventory and management of system licenses and subscriptions
  • Manage installation, upgrades, configuration, troubleshooting, and maintenance of remote servers, and corresponding applications
  • Manage all aspects of company telecommunications, including troubleshooting the VoIP system, reviewing billing, monitoring services, and working with vendors
  • Ensure proper management and support for our MDM


Required Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience providing excellent customer service
  • At least 3 years experience in at least 2 of the following areas: IT technician, desktop support, Help Desk, network administration, systems administration, cloud platform management
  • Experience managing user accounts across multiple systems
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve network and connectivity issues
  • Proficiency in English
  • An understanding of networking and computer systems at least at the level of Network+ certification; higher-level certifications preferred (ie, certification and/or degree in Information Technology, Computer Information Systems, Networking, Security, or similar relevant field)


Preferred Experience

  • Familiarity with Healthcare / HIPAA environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and client liaison skills
  • Excellent and methodical diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
  • Proven experience managing IT systems, including experience with:

    • DHCP; DNS; TCP/IP, Wi-Fi standards and protocols
    • Firewalls, switches, routers
    • MDMs, Apple Business Manager, mobile device support
    • IAM, SSO, MFA
    • GSuite, Microsoft Office, Zoom, and other cloud apps
    • Networking / Internet connectivity troubleshooting and performance tuning
    • Remote assistance tools
    • File management and permissions
    • Backups
    • Printing

Job Conditions

Some hybrid (virtual/on-site) work options are available, but regular on-site work is required at all of our three Tacoma Office locations.
