Peraton is seeking a dynamic Network Technician.

What you’ll do:
Provide technical and operation support in the installation for network, LANs/WANs and telecommunications equipment and systems. May perform work at client site.

Conduct various surveys such as electronic/electrical, mechanical and environment systems, space and weight, maintainability, and logistic support to determine the feasibility of installations.

Provide technical support to end users and maintains overall functionality of and other networks.

Activate/deactivate network lines according to established schedules. Performs first- and/or second-level problem determination (first level is help desk).

Interface with users and/or network vendors. Tests and analyzes elements of network facilities (power, communication machinery, software lines, modems, and terminals).

Monitor systems and advise senior members of network staff of network failures or degradation and assists in arranging for corrective actions plans. Perform the site network proposal walk-through, creates and proofs network plant proposals for participating sites utilizing software that creates graphical representations of communications networks.

Provide on-site end-user training on system operation, maintenance and limited troubleshooting.

Track and coordinate individual tasks for labor utilization, job performance quality and scheduling. May have responsibility for training and guidance of more junior technicians.

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree with 0 to 2 years of experience or 6 to 8 years experience in leiu of a degree.

Experiencein networking, network infrastructures involving LANs and WANs

Experience with Performing first- and/or second-level problem determination

Experience with enterprise storage experience in integration and migration of storage area network (SAN) and network attached storage (NAS) technologies.

Must be a U.S. Citizen.

Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance.

Perferred Qualifications:
Must have strong written and verbal communication skills.

Colorado Salary Maximum: $114,000

The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position, and is just one component of Peraton’s total compensation package for employees.
