Overview:

Provide personal computer/local area network maintenance support for all business functions at the facility. Assist plant LAN Administrator in maintaining and supporting users to achieve a high level of customer satisfaction and be back up support for computer operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide Network maintenance support including but not limited to.
  • Technical support to solve logistical and troubleshooting with regards to software, hardware, data access and communications concerning the LAN, personal computers, and printers.
  • Administration of a preventative maintenance program to keep PC/Printer equipment in top condition.
  • Replacement of faulty equipment/parts or new upgrade installations.
  • Assist facility Lan Administrator in execution of duties.
  • Help maintain the local area network in operating condition ready for work, including file servers, ethernet cabling, and all attached workstations.
  • Help maintain physical security and backup retention in accordance with corporate and local IS systems standards, to protect against environmental disasters and potential hardware/software failures.
  • Help maintain an accurate inventory of all PC/Lan hardware and software.
  • Help coordinate/conduct LAN user training.
  • Practice good housekeeping always and maintain PC workshop.
  • Perform installation, setup, and introduction of software applications via WAN, LAN and to local systems
  • Troubleshooting of user software/hardware problems

Technical/Professional Knowledge/Training and Skills:

  • Associate degree in computer operations, computer programming, vocational schooling, or the equivalent business experience preferably in a manufacturing environment or small business serving manufacturing.
  • Familiarity with Structured Query Language (SQL)
  • Familiarity with Virtual environments (i.e., virtual machines & networks)
  • Experience with Telecommunications systems and architecture

Education/Certifications:

  • Must have High School Diploma or GED

Required Qualifications:

  • Knowledgeable in PC hardware and software applications and have local area network experience.
  • Driver of change to continue developing, improving, and expanding current IT solutions
  • Very strong focus on Customer Satisfaction
  • Must have excellent oral and written communication skills and work well with others in a self-directed team environment.
  • Must have good organizational and planning skills.
  • Lifting requirements for miscellaneous equipment of 35 lbs.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $23.90 – $29.89 per hour
