How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?
The Network & Telecom Unified Communications Solution Architect will focus on designing, deploying and managing all unified communications needs within the Americas including contact center.
Partner closely with infrastructure, integration, and application architect peers to design, build and implement enterprise-class network and related telecom solutions for a global production environment, spanning both on-premise data centers and multiple cloud platforms.
Lead the organization from a strategic perspective by defining and ensuring enforcement of global network standards, patterns, and frameworks which align to overall business and technology strategy.
Assess business and applications requirements for corporate data and voice networks.
Identify network design gaps in existing and proposed architectures, and recommend changes or enhancements to align to both industry and business standards.
The Global Infrastructure & Operation Department (GIO) was created to enable high speed execution of the Group’s IT transformation projects and to run global services.
GIO is part of the Air Liquide IT legal entity. It delivers IT infrastructure services to Air Liquide BIS (Business Information System) teams worldwide. The IT infrastructure scope includes services spanning the following IT domains: Network and Telecom; Cloud; Security; and End User Computing;
The Americas Hub team within GIO is responsible for ensuring the delivery of all GIO services across the Americas. The GIO Americas Hub team supports over 25,000 employees across over 1,600 locations in North and South America.
The GIO Network & Telecom (N&T) Service Line is based on 4 pillars:
- Solutions Engineering: Vision & Expertise for technologies and services
- Service Delivery: Ensure network provision according to customer needs
- Operations Management: Network operations excellence
- Telecom Expense Management: Control efficiency
The Network & Telecom Solution Architect is responsible for the overall design and implementation of Network and Telephony services globally.
The geographical focus of this role will encompass the GIO globally.
This position will report to the Network & Telecom Service Hub Americas Director and will work closely with IT and business leadership throughout the Americas and global GIO.

Competencies and Profile
Education Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience in within the field of Information Technology)
General Requirements
- 10+ years of IT experience.
- Fluency in English is mandatory (additional language capabilities are a plus).
- Maintain multiple advanced manufacturer specific advanced certifications. i.e.: CCNP, Microsoft Teams Voice Expert, Collaboration
Critical Competencies
- Key technical skills include five or more years’ experience in:
- Network architecture, demonstrating solutions delivery, principles, and emerging technologies.
- Solution design and implementation for on-prem and cloud based Cisco VoIP systems including Cisco Unified Call Manager, Cisco Unity Voicemail, Cisco Contact Center, E911, Cisco Collaboration Edge, cisco SRST, ISR, QoS, POE, H.323/SIP/G.711/G.729 protocols, Call Recording, Cisco VoIP phones, Cisco analog gateway, SIP Trunking, ISDN, PSTN, and SIP endpoints.
- Strong expertise designing and supporting Cisco based telephony systems including deep technical knowledge and experience with Cisco PCCE or Cisco UCCX, Cisco Finesse and Cisco Call Manager.
- Consulting and engineering in the development and design of network best practices and implementation of solid network principles across the organization to meet business goals along with customer and regulatory requirements.
- Comparing network equipment such as routers, switches, telecom systems, and firewalls.
- Research and implement network software, such as network drivers and monitoring applications.
- Work closely with the Global architecture team and other executives to align network design with organizational goals.
- Design and integrate VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) and other telecommunications systems
- Supervise network engineers, network admins and other workers in network setup & configuration.
- Possess abundant soft skills, such as critical thinking, verbal/written communication and leadership
- Continuously evaluate emerging network technologies to maximize performance, security & efficiency.
- Experience with deploying and operating Cisco Webex Calling and Cisco Webex Contact Center.
