Network/Telecommunication Technician

MPIRE Technology Group, Inc. is seeking a Network Technician with experience with Cisco Routers, VoIP and traditional PBX platforms.

Duties

• Travel to field offices and radio sites.
• Install new circuit equipment and field offices and at radio site.
• Fabricate cabling as needed, Ethernet cables, T1 cables and 64K cables.
• Create diagrams for circuits equipment and cabling connections at the radio site and at the field office.
• Perform both corrective and preventive maintenance on network equipment (fiber & copper) which provide voice and data services at customer sites.
• Installation/replacement of network equipment (cards) and install/activate physical connections at network locations and customer sites.
• Install equipment based on requirements provided by engineering and construction teams at customer sites.
• Engage virtual technical support teams (as needed).
• Aid network technicians in other areas, both virtually and physically as required
• Manage inventory associated with network equipment and engage logistics (procurement support) as needed

Requirements

• Three years of current experience in field network and circuit equipment, related telephony field, or the equivalent in training and experience.

Nice to have

• Network+, A+, CCNA Certifications.
• Certification in CISCO, Microsoft, or other related network/data systems.
• Certification or equivalent training in inter-networking technology and LAN/WAN equipment such as Ethernet switches, routers, ATM, frame relay, IP, and routing protocols.
• BICSI Cabling Certifications

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $40,000.00 per year

• Computer networking: 5 years (Preferred)
• Cisco routers: 1 year (Preferred)

• CCNA (Preferred)
• CompTIA Network+ (Preferred)
• cisco (Preferred)
• BICSI Certification (Preferred)

Security clearance:

• Top Secret (Required)
