Network Operations Analyst – Second Shift (Evenings)

Job Summary:

The Network Operations Analyst is responsible for the ongoing monitoring and maintenance of one or more customer networks. Network operation is the central bridge between MCA’s technical support and field services teams. Often the analyst will coordinate between one or more departments resolve issues remotely. A Network Operations Analyst will be responsible for monitoring of systems for online status and health. Remediating prior to issues if possible.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Serve as tier 2 escalation and resource for 2nd shift Technical Support.
• Coordinate with field services and on-call personnel as critical issues arise.
• Respond to critical and high priority alerts that are generate from various systems.
• Maintain and troubleshoot networks, systems, and applications.
• Monitor system and network health via a remote monitoring and management platform
• Monitor and respond to security incidents from anti-malware and firewall systems.
• Monitor and maintain business continuity and disaster recovery systems
• Coordinate with vendor on the customer’s behalf
• Coordinate between different departments to ensure customer success.
• Perform after hour maintenance for customers handed off from 1st Shift Network Analyst.

Qualifications and Skills Needed:

• This is a customer-facing position. Customer service and communication skills are critical.
• Analytical troubleshooting methodology and online research skills.
• Basic networking understanding: switching, routing, firewalls, wireless, ISP technologies, and the TCP/IP model
• Microsoft Windows Technologies: Windows workstation and server, active directory, DNS, DHCP, file/print services, file permissions
• Email Services: Office 365, mail flow, mail filtering systems.
• Virtualization Technologies: VMware ESXI, Microsoft Hyper V
• Storage Technologies: SANs, DFS, Hyperconverged Storage.
• A desire for ongoing learning is essential for this position. The total body of knowledge is extremely broad in this area. We ask Network Operations Analyst to be fully competent in all Networking areas and pursue one or more specializations. Training opportunities will be provided and are often in self-study format.
• Second shift indicates work hours along the following ranges: 3:00pm to 12:00pm, 1-10PM, or 2-11PM will be as needed for ongoing maintenance of networks and systems.

Salary + Benefits:

The range for the NOC Analyst is $60,000-$80,000, determined by experience.
