Your future duties and responsibilities

Be part of our fast-paced and transformational Agile team:

  • A Full-Stack Developer who will be part of a collaborative software engineering team working with cutting edge technologies such as Spring Boot, ELK, Quarkus, Java, Microservice, Kafka, Docker, OCP, GCP and more.
  • A story teller who demo the deliverables with internal / external clients.
  • A DevOps and CI/CD enthusiast who will promote a culture and an environment which unites Agile with continuous delivery, integration, monitoring and automation to help development and operations teams be more efficient, innovate faster, and deliver higher value.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role

  • Required Level of Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or other related field.
  • Knowledge of the project development and software development life cycle
  • Experience with REST API, Java, Spring Boot, Python, JSON, Jenkins
  • Team player who adapts well to uncertainty or changing needs
  • Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
  • Strong aptitude for innovation

Nice to have

  • Monitoring: ELK, Prometheus, Grafana, DynaTrace Managed
  • Platform: OpenShift/GCP/AWS/Azure, Quarkus, Kubernetes, Weblogic / Websphere,
  • Integration: Kafka, JMS
  • Source control: Git, SVN
  • Methodology: Agile (SAFe or equivalent)
  • Database: Oracle RAC, NoSQL, Redis, PL/SQL
  • CICD: JIRA/Confluence, Jenkins
  • Tools: Maven, Swagger
  • Experience in Telecommunication industry

Required qualifications to be successful in this role

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • A post-secondary student who is graduating this year or a recent grad who has graduated within the past 12 months; eligible programs: Bachelor of commerce etc.
  • Less than 18 months of relevant work experience, excluding co-op and internships
  • Proactive Leader
  • Analytical with Financial acumen
  • Understanding of data analysis, Financial analysis and financial management (budgeting, estimating, financial analysis)
  • Attention to detail is imperative as data must be accurate and explainable for management decision making.
  • Advanced MS Office Skills with a focus on PowerPoint and Excel experience with macros an asset
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • A keen interest/understanding in technology is an asset
  • Quick learner who is flexible and able to multi-task while still adhering to detail
  • Confident and comfortable interacting with senior leaders at all levels in the organization
  • Performs well under pressure
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Positive attitude with a strong desire to learn
  • Excellent organizational and time management/prioritization abilities.
